Sensory Room - Official Opening
Our new sensory classroom which was funded by the children's charity 'Wooden Spoon', saw its official opening this week by representatives of the charity.
Ireland rugby stars Tommy Bowe and Willie John McBride paid a special visit to the school to cut the ribbon and have a look around our state-of-the-art sensory room, which immerses the student in sounds, images and even aromas and can provide a very calming and therapeutic experience.
There was musical performances and refreshments and after the grand opening there was time for a chat and a few signatures, as well as a chance to experience the technology of the amazing multi-sensory classroom.
We are extremely thankful to the Wooden Spoon charity for funding this wonderful resource, which our students will benefit from for many years to come.
